January 2016

Some of you may be following us on our facebook page (www.facebook.com/davechereepng) and would have heard our most recent news on the work permit/visa front. (for those that do not have facebook, I will do better at updating this page also!)

Back in December we received an email advising us that Dave's work permit had been approved! Exciting news and a step closer to Lae.

Then on the 15th January, we received another email saying that our Visas had been lodged and they only expect a 15 day turn around! So-all being well, the visas should be done by the end of this week - we hope and pray for no more delays.
Seeing that our youngest turns 6 months on the 15th Feb, we have decided to wait until after that date before we leave so she can have her last lot of infant immunizations here.

That leaves us with (maybe) just two weeks to go!  In the meantime, we are keeping busy - packing, starting some home school lessons, work for Dave, travel health appointments and vaccines, as well as squeezing in some time for family fun!

Please keep our visa application in your prayers!

Thank you for your support - whether it be prayers and thoughts, or financial, it means a lot and will help us serve God and help other people through Lae City Mission.

OUT OF OUR HANDS

It is done! It s finished! It is posted!

I haven't put a blog post up for awhile so thought I better let you know where we are in our moving process!

After a few hiccups (one may or may not include a 2 year old who cut up passport photos), our passports are all done, our visas all filled out, work permit filled out, and all of it has been sent off to Papua New Guinea!

Now to wait and see how long it all takes to process, before booking flights, packing up the house and leaving our family home of 7+years.

(I had started writing this post last year, but it didn't get published, oops! Publishing it now, and will add another post with more recent news!)
